SPECIALTIES AND SERVICES
Acupuncture/Dry Needling
Acupuncture was developed in China and has been practiced continuously since second century BC. Rachel's expertise in acupuncture lies primarily in the area of pain management and rehabilitation. Other common uses are for stress management, trauma, addiction therapy, and preventative care.
Electric Stem
Electrical current can be applied to the needles during acupuncture. This causes increased stimulation and can help with the treatment of several chronic conditions. Proven to be useful in treating migraine headaches, lower back pain, fatigue, stroke, and Bell's Palsy. Trained in EAM protocols.
Trigger Point/Acupressure
Trigger points occur in people in the same locations. When trigger points are present in the muscle there is often pain and weakness in the associated structure even beyond the muscle itself. They can be considered the super sensitive "hot spots" in the muscle. Systematically applying needles or Acupressure to these areas can be super helpful to unlock frozen muscle tissues. Acupressure can help by working on the "Ashi" or painful points of the muscle without using needles. Strong stimulation to these specific points can relieve muscle tension and adhesions.
